Biography: Dr. Scardina Giuseppe Alessandro holds his Ph.D. in Periodontology. He is currently working as Associate Professor at the Department of Surgical, Oncological and Stomatological Disciplines at the University of Palermo, ITALY. Department activities have been mainly focused on the observation of particular issues, such as: Patients' screening of the neoplastic risk of the oral cavity, Monitoring of neoplastic patients submitted to treatments combined physician-surgical, Screening and monitoring of the collagenopathies patients with particular location in the oral cavity, Screening and monitoring of the small patients affected by hemopathies, Capillaroscopic evaluation of the oral mucosa in patients with connectivopathies, Evaluation of the oral vascular pattern of subjects smokers with the purpose to appraise the effects of this risk factor on the microcirculation for the pathologies pre and neoplastic of the oral mucosa.
